LibreOffice gains support for mobile devices
LibreOffice's rapid growth and adoption as the premier business office software suite has reached an exciting new phase with the release of LibreOffice Viewer. Developed by Collabora Productivity—the company behind LibreOffice from Collabora—LibreOffice Viewer enables viewing of ODF-format documents, spreadsheets, and presentations on Android-powered phones using an easy-to-navigate interface optimised for touch screens.
While the Viewer app is currently a beta release (and as such is not yet recommended for critical business use), Collabora is pursuing a rapid update schedule, intended to bring complete stability and a host of other exciting new features for mobile document productivity. Interested parties are encouraged to install and try it out for a preview of what's to come.
